The ROAC is a non-profit organization committed to supporting and promoting the arts, cultural institutions and art education. The scholarship program is the direct result of our fundraising efforts and it’s one of the ways our organization invests back into the community.
For 2023 the ROAC scholarship award is $2,500.
Scholarship Eligibility:
Applicants must be a senior attending a Royal Oak High School and must be involved in traditional visual, digital, literary or the performing arts. Students must be continuing to an accredited program after graduation and pursuing studies to prepare them for a career in the creative arts.
Programs of study include, but are not limited to:
- Animation
- Communication Design
- Creative Writing
- Dance
- Digital Art
- Drama
- Entertainment Arts
- Fashion
- Fiber and Textiles
- Filmmaking
- Fine Art
- Game Design
- Illustration
- Music
- Painting
- Photography
- Printmaking
Rules:
Students must upload or link at least three (3) examples of their work along with the application form and include a letter of recommendation from an educator or creative professional who has contributed to their studies.
Applications must be submitted by Friday, April 21, 2023.
Applicants will be notified by email of the results by Friday, April 28, 2023.

Acceptance of a scholarship constitutes permission to use recipient’s name and or likeness and product for the purpose of promoting the ROAC scholarship program.
