What is the Art Walk?
The event is a self-guided tour of Royal Oak’s downtown businesses, showcasing a variety of work from local and regional artists. The event is free to the public and there is no charge to either artists or participating businesses.
The Royal Oak Art Walk will be held on Friday, August 11th from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
This event is sponsored by the Royal Oak Arts Council and the Royal Oak Commission for the Arts in cooperation with the City of Royal Oak and the Downtown Development Authority.
Virtually any business with the appropriate display space can host one or more artists for the Art Walk. Recommendations for each artist/host business pairing will be made by the sponsors. However, the final determination will be made by the artists and business partners themselves.
This will be a great opportunity to attract potential customers and drive new foot traffic to Royal Oak’s downtown businesses. If you are a downtown business owner who is interested in hosting an artist for this event, please register here.
